Barbara Ann McPherson, 74, of Demopolis, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 23, 1941, in Columbiana to the late Allie and Polly Cost.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Polly Cost; son, James F. McPherson; sister, Sarah Palmer; and brother, Buck Cost.

She is survived by her husband, James H. McPherson; daughter, Vickie Rice of Demopolis; sisters, Susan Johnson and Sheila of Columbiana; brother, Buddy Cost of Demopolis; grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Meredith Garner and Brandi McPherson; and great-grandchild, Grayson Harper Shows.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, Feb. 8, at 3 p.m. at Old Belmont Church with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel on the day of the service.

Pallbearers will be Mike McPherson, Mark McPherson, Russ McPherson, Ricky McPherson, Gregg McPherson and Bud Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Belmont Cemetery.
