The National Weather Service has included Marengo County in a Winter Weather Advisory effective until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Marengo County EMA Director Kevin McKinney said being under an advisory means there will likely be some accumulation of ice, but it will be light.

“There will be some light accumulation, but the window of time is very limited,” he said. “We shouldn’t have any travel issues, but everyone should still be careful. If there is any trouble, it will be on bridges. Our roads should stay clear.”
