Dorothy B. Gillespie, 83, of Linden died May 3, 2015, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Sylacauga. She was a nurse’s aide at Marengo Nursing Home and a member of Linden Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Gillespie of Linden; two daughters, Donna (Pat) Philen of Linden and Midge (Jim) Peppenhorst of Linden; brother, Elvin “Buddy” (Bobbie) Sanders of Sylacauga; aunt, Inez Blackmon of Sylacauga; four grandchildren, Mary Margaret Philen, Doanan Philen, Cameron Peppenhorst and Claudia Peppenhorst.

Funeral services were held at Linden Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Bobby Hopper and the Rev. Johnny Arnett officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park in Linden.
