Ted Elizabeth Cassity

Ted Elizabeth Cassity, 79, a retired beautician of Gallion, died August 21, 2015 at Marengo Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cassity was born Jan. 19, 1936 in Demopolis. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she served as WMU director, was a member of the choir and served on various church committees.
She is survived by her son, Danny Cassity of Ft. Walton, Florida; three daughters, Jackie Davis of Gallion, Cindy Malone of Demopolis, and Pam Gibbs of Linden; sister, Ada Honeycutt of Prattville, Alabama; nine grandchildrenl; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Cassity; son, Andy Cassity; brother, Johnny Preston Honeycutt; and her grandson, Jeremy Johnson.
Funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church on Monday, August 24, at 3 p.m. with Rev. David Mooree, Rev. David Stidham, and Rev. Brian Malone officiating. Burial was in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were: Chris Gibbs, Daniel Davis, Josh Cassity, Tim Cassity, Chris Cassity, Matt Hansard, Hunter Yelverton, Jacob Davidson, Tate Gibbs, and Ethan Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers were: The staff of Marengo Nursing Home and Southern Care Hospice, members of The Ladies Sunday School Class at Providence Baptist Church.
