Bazaar being held at FUMC

The Demopolis Methodist Women’s Church Bazaar will be held Nov. 11 at the First United Methodist Church in Demopolis from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Their residents of the area and visitors will be able to shop for different Christmas decorations and goodies in unique rooms of the church.
The different vendor rooms include a Christmas and home accents room, an attic treasures room, bake sale room and a silent auction. There will also be a drawing for an Afghan blanket at 3 p.m.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cost $8. The menu includes a chicken salad plate with a drink and a desert.
The Demopolis First United Methodist Bazaar started approximately 60 years ago and has continued to grow through the years.
All the profits go to community mission programs in Marengo County and surrounding area.
Local mission programs that receive proceeds from the bazaar include the following: UWA Wesley Foundation, Mission Trips, Shoe Box Ministry, Demopolis Food Pantry, Special Missions, Kairos, Apple Tree Project and Project Merry Christmas, bereavement meals, Pastoral discretionary fund, scholarships for district and conference church mission, gift scholarship to college student, Friendship Club, children’s ministries, youth ministries, program materials and reading program, Flower Fund, Bazaar, bonus and Christmas gift and Mom’s Morning Out.
