James Robert Anderson, 76, of Forkland passed away April 16 in Birmingham.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 1 p.m., at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Bro. Scott Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Nanafalia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
James was born in Nanafalia on Sept. 9, 1939.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Jackson and Katie Lee Jowers Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Miller Anderson; sons, Darren Anderson (Lisa) and David Anderson (Vanessa); daughter, Lisha Montelongo (Luis); sisters, Margaret Wells and Kathleen Lawler (Sonny); and grandchildren, Wesley Anderson, Laubeth Kekahey and Luis Montelongo.
Pallbearers will be Tony Rice, Brandon Nelson, Tommy Tate, Cole Tate, John Womer and Mark Harrell.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Carpenter, Junior Etheredge, Jim Reid, Ricky Horn and Charles Freeman.
