Christian school gets ready for students

DEMOPOLIS — A small core of believers is bringing Christian education to students through a school backed by Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis.
“We’re not another private school,” Principal Roni Long said. “We are a christian school. Everything we do is pointed to bringing children to Christ.”
The school offers classes for kindergarten through second grade, and plans to be a full K-12 school in six years.
“We are trying to add a grade or two every year,” Long said. “We are a full school, with full-time, certified teachers.”
Classes begin today at the school, which is based at the church. Enrollment is ongoing.
