Shelby coming to Demopolis Feb. 20
Published Friday, February 5, 2010
U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will join the residents of Marengo County for a county visit on Saturday, Feb. 20, at noon.
The county visit, which is open to the public, will take place at Smokin’ Jack’s Bar-B-Que in Demopolis.
Shelby will address the legislative agenda for the second session of the 111th Congress as well as important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama.
“Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government,” Shelby said. “This will be a great chance to discuss the issues as the 111th Congress reconvenes.”
Following his remarks, Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments from those in attendance.
Shelby has held more than 1,500 county visits since being elected to serve the state of Alabama.
He holds a meeting in each county every year.

It is befitting that the 'King of Pork' has this meeting at a bbq joint. If traffic citations don't bring in the money, Shelby's appetite for fat, greasy, pork projects will.

I think that it is a source of embarrassment that Tuscaloosa and the Univeristy of Alabama's campus look great only because a senator is able to funnel tax money from hard-working people in other parts of the country. I want nothing that I didn't earn, which makes living in a state that leeches off big government frustrating.

Senator Shelby is an elitist and his son was caught with drugs at the Atlanta airport. His son got off with a small fine whereas anyone else would have been put under the jail.
How can anyone put any confidence in anyone who enjoys these privileges? Here is the link for those who want to verify what has been said.

Claude Shelby. His father and the rest of elitist republicrats in the senate are worse than al qaeda, in my humble opinion.
