Susan Webb and Sandy Seale have a wide variety to offer for the Valentine shopper.

Valentine's shopping can be easy

Published Saturday, February 6, 2010

Valentine’s Day is just a week away. Do you know what you’re going to buy for that special someone?

Lindsey’s of Demopolis has what you are shopping for, whether you know what that is or not. Not just flowers and candy, but plush toys and many other gift items — plus, they deliver.

“We have balloons, plants, fresh flowers, roses, candy, goodies baskets, food baskets and other gift items,” said co-owner Sandy Seale.

“We are delivering all this week, every day, whatever day people are interested in sending their Valentine something. We deliver anywhere in town, as far as RockTenn, Linden and the Greensboro area.

“We will deliver any item that we sell, and we’ll be running special deliveries all week to handle all of the Valentine deliveries,” she said.

“We will be open from 1 to 4 on Valentine’s Day,” said co-owner Susan Webb.

Lindsey’s is a great place to go if you want to buy something for Valentine’s Day, but don’t know what to buy. In business for five years, Lindsey’s recently began selling fresh flowers.

“If they don’t see a basket that they want, we’d be glad to help them make up a basket,” said Webb.

“They can choose what to put in it, and we can make that up for them,” Seale said. “A lot of our items can be personalized to add that certain special touch. We’ve recently been to market, and we’re getting new merchandise daily, so that broadens our selection.”

Lindsey’s is located on U.S. Highway 80 West next to Smokin’ Jack’s restaurant.

The people that work there are terrific. I'm with the Demopolis National Guard unit getting ready for mobilization to Iraq and am in Oklahoma for some additional training. I called them and they got me fixed up for Valentine's Day for my wife and two daughters. They were very friendly and patient. I appreciate your help!!
