Recent forecast calls for up to 1-inch of snow to land in Demopolis today and tonight.

Demopolis City Schools will close at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and will close Friday.

Linden City Schools will close at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and will close Friday.

Marengo County Schools will close at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and will close Friday.

Marengo Academy will close at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and will be closed on Friday.

The University of West Alabama and the Demopolis Higher Education Center (DHEC) will close Thursday, Jan. 7, and Friday, Jan. 8, except for offices essential for continuing operation. All faculty, staff and students should report for classes Monday, Jan. 11, as scheduled.

Building Blocks in Demopolis will close at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Tender Years will close at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Bright Beginnings Daycare closing 11:30 am Thursday

Greene City Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday which include: Paramount Jr. High School, Carver Elementary, Eutaw Primary School, Greene City High School.

West Alabama Christian School and Pre School will close at 11:30 am Thursday. They will be closed Friday

Sumter Academy School will be closed all day Thursday

Southern Academy School will be closed all day Thursday

Livingston Elementary, Jr. High and High Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday

Sumter City High School will be closed Thursday and Friday

York Westend Jr. High School will be closed Thursday and Friday
