Hurtis F. Vick, 71, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Friday, May 3, 2002 at Demopolis Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Don Smith.

Burial was under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucie Grice; his father Bennie E. Vick; and his daughter, Brenda Vick.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy K. Vick of Demopolis; a daughter, Marie V. (Louie) Singleton of Demopolis; a son, Larry E. (Carla) Vick Sr. of Meridian, Miss.; a half sister, Noleen Tucker of Tallahassee, Fla.; two brothers, Bennie E. Vick of Fredericksburg, Va. and Delano Vick of Sims, Ala.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
