Robert Knott, 89, of Boligee, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Tuscaloosa.

Services were held Saturday, June 15 at Springhill Baptist Church in Boligee with Rev. Dr. Thomas Gilmore officiating.

Burial was held in Knott Cemetery under the direction of Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors.

He is survived by four daughters, Luefader (Isiah) Walton of Indianapolis, Ind., Geraldine Green of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, Barbara Ragsdale of Chicago, Ill., and Gwendolyn (Oscar) Dailey of Burke, Va.; four sons, Robert (Deborah) Knott of Collinsville, Miss., Melvin Knott of Boligee, Alvin Knott of Burke, Va., and Nelson (Beverly) Knott of Centreville, Va.; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Sue Pryor, Gertrude Davis, Shirley (John) Miller, Meldora (George) Osborne, Josephine (Rev. Nathaniel) Slappey, Armadine (Rev. Charlie) Knighten, Beatrice (Grady) Barnett, and Hattie McCullar, all of Detroit, Mich.; four brothers, Abraham (Grace) Knott of Flint, Mich., Rev. Thornton (Robbie) Davis, Hosey (Priscilla) Davis and Forest Davis, all of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
