Quincy Franklin Adams

Quincy Franklin Adams, 93, of Thomasville, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at his residence.

Services were held Thursday, July 4, 2002, at the O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Rev. David McVay officiating.

Burial was held in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville under the direction of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home.

He was born July 8, 1908 in Bashi, Ala. He was an accounting clerk for Kimbrough’s Store.

Mr. Adams is a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Wynette Craig Adams of Thomasville; two nephews, Bill Doody of Dallas, Tx. and Craig Sizemore of Sulligent, Ala.; and a niece, Clair Sizemore of Birmingham.

Pallbearers were Colonel Stewart C. Nichols, Colonel James A. Jackson, Charles A, Holmes and Craig Sizemore.

Honorary pallbearers were Lt. General Robert F. Foley, Major General Joseph L. Fant and Ernest D. Key.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin Sizemore Adams Scholarship Fund at Marion Institute.
