Frances T. Greene, 84, of Linden, died Friday, October 18, 2002, at the Marengo Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held Sunday, October 20, 2002, at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Carr and Elder Thomas Boggs officiating and under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Greene was a native of Dayton, Ala. and a resident of Demopolis for many years. She was retired from the Alabama Gas Corporation and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Demopolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Greene; a son, John W. Greene Jr.; her mother, Zell M. Jones; a sister, Ruth J. Caldwell; and a brother, Meador Jones Sr.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy G. (Ed) Williams of Demopolis; a grandson, Ron (Belinda) Williams of Demopolis; a great-grandchild, Abby Williams of Demopolis; three nephews, John Pritchett of Columbia, S.C., Cedric Jones of Dayton, Ala., and Meador Jones Jr. of Gallion.
