James V. Davis, 81, of Linden, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at Marengo Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held Thursday, January 3, 2003, at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Virgil Pino officiating and under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy T. Davis of Demopolis; a daughter, Shirley D. Jowers of Linden; three sons, James V. Davis Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina, Michael T. Davis of Wetumpka and Richard A. Davis of Selma; a sister, Ruby Summerlin of Montgomery; a brother, Robert C. Davis of Gainesville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
