Frank Newton Acker Sr., 77, of Forkland, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Friday, February 14, 2003, at Forkland United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Crumbley and Jimmy Phillips officiating.

Burial was held in Forkland Cemetery uder the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Acker, and two sisters, Flore Aycock and Levinia Etheridge.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Adell Acker of Forkland; two daughters, Deborah A. (John) Morgan and Patricia A. (James) Alish, both of Forkland; a son, Frank Newton (Cindy) Acker Jr. of Forkland; three sisters, Sarah Hanson of Livingston, and Ruth McDaniel and Kathleen Kilgore of Carrolton; a brother, Billy Acker of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and 13 great=grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Roger Locke, John Morgan, Allen Acker, Michael Acker, Tim McDaniel, Russell Hanson, Rodney Etheredge, Dennis McDaniel and Steve Kilgore.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Forkland Methodist Church.
