Grace L. McGillivray

Grace L. McGillivray, 86, died Saturday, September 6, 2003.

Services were held on Wednesday, September 10 at the John F. Slater Funeral Home in Pittsburgh.

She is the sister of Margaret McAllister and the late William H. Hoffmann, the mother of William A. (Linda A.) McGillivray and the grandmother of Peter V. and John M. McGillivray.

She is also survived by many nieces.

Eugene Bettis "Shack" DeLoach Jr., 77, of Linden, died Tuesday, September 9, 2003, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Graveside services were held Thursday, September 11, 2003, in Linden Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Harris officiating and under the direction of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden.

Mr. DeLoach was born April 22, 1926 in Alabama. He graduated from Marengo County High School in 1944. He served in the United States Navy for two years.

In 1951 he married Alice June Etheridge, who preceded him in death.

He worked for Skinner Motors for a few years before joining Gulf States Paper Corporation in 1963 were he retired in 1989. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Jean DeLoach of Linden; and a sister, Jean (Tommy) Courtney of Pensacola, Fla.
