If you like a good challenge on the golf course then Rex Bible has got one for you over on the No. 1 par 4 at The Ravine Golf Course. Early Thursday morning a Demopolis City main water line that runs along side the No. 1 and No. 2 fairways at The Ravine Golf Course ruptured causing the course to flood with water.

“I came in early Thursday morning and found the No. 1 fairway flooded with water,” Bible said.

Bible made a couple of phone calls and had city workers on the scene a few hours later, who worked quickly to repair the water line and keep the No. 1 hole from obtaining a new water hazard.

“Bryan Cook did a fantastic job. He and his team got out here as quickly as they could moved really quickly to solve the problem,” Bible said.

But although the water has stopped flowing the problems haven’t. Bible is now looking at an easy three or four day course repair job ahead of him.

“It’s wait and see right now, but all play on the No. 1 hole will be suspended for at least three of four days depending on the weather,” Bible said.

“If it rains like it is expected to this weekend, then it will be even longer.”
