This was our last Saturday of the season. I would like to thank the participants, our sponsors and those

The UPS Store – 8

Things started slow for both teams as The UPS Store scored the only points in the 1st quarter and led 2-0. Clear Mountain dripped in 4 points in the 2nd to take a slim lead 4-3 at half time. Clear Mountain perked up in the 3rd with 7 points to stretch their lead to 11-5 going into the final quarter.

The UPS Store scored all the points in the 4th as they strapped in 3 points but it was not enough as Clear Mountain was able to hold on for a 3 point win. Jordon Williams led Clear Mountain with 4 points followed by Braden Spiller, Tripp Perry and Tyler Merriweather each scored 2 and William Tutt was credited with 1 point.

Alexis Jones and Stephen Stewart each tallied 3 points for The UPS Store followed by Sam Renner with 2 points.

9 -10 year old Boys and Girls

Athlete’s Foot – 31

Windwood Inn – 22

The Athlete’s Foot led from beginning to end in this game as they practically shut down Windwood Inn’s potent offense. The Athlete’s Foot sped to a 6 point lead in the 1st with 8 points while holding Windwood Inn to 2.

Windwood Inn woke up in the 2nd with 10 points but still found themselves trailing at half time, 17-12, as The Athlete’s Foot netted 9 points. Neither team had much success offensively in the 3rd but Windwood did manage to close the gap to 2 points, 19-17, as they scored 5 points while holding The Athlete’s Foot to 2 free throws. The Athlete’s Foot got back on track in the 4th busting the nets for 12 points to pull away by 9 31-22, as Windwood in connected for 5. Malcom Merriweather and Darius Benison led The Athlete’s Foot as they each bagged 8 points followed by Jacob Roemen with 7, Kadarius Ingram with 6 and JaMarcus Alvis with 2. Terryl Ratliff led Windwood Inn as he bombed the iron with a game high 17 points followed by Tommie Reese with 3 and Breanna Jones with 2.

Dominos’ Pizza – 23

Regions Bank – 15

Domino’s Pizza spread the score evenly in the 1st and 2nd quarter scoring 7 in each while Regions Bank connected for 5 in the 1st and failed to score in the 2nd. Domino’s enjoyed a 9 point half time lead, 14-5. They increased the lead by one, 20-10, in the 3rd with 6 points whiled Regions earned another 5. Regions outscored Domino’s in the 4th 5-3 but it was not enough as Domino’s took the 8 point win, 23-15. Pierre Thomas led Domino’s as he melted the iron with 7 points followed by Xavier Johnson with 6, Jarius Rembert and Justin Durant each scored 3 and Neilson Renner and William Lewis each scored 2. Justin Harris led Regions Bank with 7 points followed by Cameron McCorkle with 3 William Stewart and Payne Hasty each scored 2 and Devin Burrell connected on one free throw.

11-12 Boys

Cemex Corporation – 35

Holiday Inn Express – 28

Cemex Corporation sifted the nylon for 8 1st quarter points to lead by 2, 8-6. Holiday Inn Express matched their 1st quarter score with another 6 in the 2nd quarter and tied the game at 12 at half time.

Holiday Inn Express liked the number 6 so much they matched it again in the 3rd as did Cemex keeping the score tied this time at 18. Cemex outscored Holiday Inn Express 15-11 in the 4th quarter giving them a 4 point win, 33-29. Tyler Smith led Cemex as he pumped in 14 points followed by teammates Tre’ Jones with 13, Joel Coddington with 4 and Brandon Hay with 2. Holiday Inn Express was led by Jalen Armstead as he piled in a game high 21 points followed by Delton Rhodes with 4 and William Hill and James Dickie each scored 2.

Team Xerox – 42

AMA Designs – 31

Team Xerox tacked up 10 points in each the 1st and 2nd quarters for a 4 point half time lead 20-16 as AMA Designs stitched the nylon for 6 and 8 points respectively. AMA closed the gap to 2, 29-27, at the end of the 3rd quarter with 11 points while Team Xerox added 9. Team Xerox pulled away in the 4th with 13 points while holding AMA to 4 points for a final score of 42-31. Adrian James led Team Xerox as he inked 15 points followed by Conrad Murdock with 12, Rick Boone with 7, David Moore with 4 and Terry

DeGraffenreid and John Scott with 2 each. Walter Evans led AMA Designs with a game high 17 points followed by Miguel Catlin with 6, Anthony James with 5, Bruce Garner with 2 and Chris Jones with 1.
