Drugs, cars, and money. These are three things that can ruin a good person’s life very quick.

Two local residents Richard Lee Winn, 42 Gallion and Ronnie Monroe, 25 Linden were arrested Thursday afternoon on charges of distribution of a controlled substance. Det. Sgt. Tim Soronen, Technician Tim Williams, and Officer Randal Parrot arrested them both during an undercover investigation.

During the arrests of Winn and Monroe, both were found to be in possession of one half an ounce of crack cocaine each.

Also during the investigation, two automobiles a 1992 Chevy Caprice and a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT were seized by the Demopolis Police Department.

Soronen said these two automobiles have a combined value of about $7,000 and they will be placed into auction or retained by the department for future usage.

Soronen also said that the investigation is still currently ongoing, as more arrests seem likely.
