Sunshine High School senior Shawn Washington recently signed a full athletic scholarship to Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. Washington is a six-year veteran of the Sunshine High School basketball program. According to Sunshine head basketball coach Walter Jones, Washington possesses excellent leadership skills that he exhibits on and off the court. In his senior season, Washington led the Tigers averaging 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game. Washington is also a noteworthy academic honor student and a member of the National Honor Society. His cumulative GPA is 3.6.
