Suspects skip trial, plead guilty to charges in Marengo court

LINDEN– The following guilty pleas were entered at the Marengo County Circuit Court in Linden on Tuesday, April 20, 2003.

* Derrick Berry pleaded guilty to second-degree Assault and was sentenced to seven years in the county jail, suspended to two years probation.

* Pamela Bozeman pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to thirty days in the county jail, suspended to six months probation.

* Joe James Bruno pleaded guilty to second-degree Forgery and was sentenced to three years in the county jail, suspended to 12 months probation.

* James Edward Cade pleaded guilty to third-degree Robbery and was sentenced to 15 years in the county jail, split to serve three years, probation denied.

* Rodney Champion pleaded guilty to Poss/Rec of Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 15 years in the county jail.

* Clarence Earl Doss pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to a year and a day in the county jail reduced to 120 days of house arrest.

* Rosie Dumas pleaded guilty to third-degree Forgery and was sentenced to six months in the county jail, suspended to six months probation.

* Maisie J. Johnson pleaded guilty to Theft of Property third-degree and was sentenced to one year probation.

* Marcus Tremaine Johnson pleaded guilty to second-degree Robbery and was sentenced to 12 years in the county jail.

* Tyesha Kelly pleaded guilty to first-degree Identity Theft and was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail, suspended to one-year probation.

* Willie L. King pleaded guilty to first-degree Criminal Mischief and was sentenced to two years in the county jail, suspended to two years probation.

* George Thomas Lassiter pleaded guilty to Poss of a Forged Instrument and was sentenced to three years in the county jail, suspended to two years probation.

* Boston Daniels Lewis pleaded guilty to third-degree Forgery and was sentenced to six months in the county jail, suspended to six months probation.

* Jimmy Ray Miller pleaded guilty to Sexual Misconduct and was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail, suspended to 12 months probation.

* Steven Minter pleaded guilty to third-degree Theft of Property and was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail, suspended to 6 months probation.

* Tameshia Young Moore pleaded guilty to third-degree Forgery and was sentenced to six months in the county jail, suspended to one-year probation.
