Alabama New South Coalition Marengo County Chapter will host an educational and political forum Thursday, May 6 at 7 p.m. at Majo’s Activity Center on Highway 43 South in Demopolis.

Please come out and be informed about the new Voter ID laws with particular emphamsis placed on the new provisional ballot and the absentee ballot. Marengo County Circuit Clerk Rusty Nichols will make this presentation.

In addition, candidates for: Marengo County Commission District 4, which includes George Baldwin, Trezzvant Hopson and Calvin Martin, District Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit, which includes Greg Griggers and Barrown Lankster; 7th U.S. Congressional District Representative which includes Albert Turner and since Artur Davis is in session, one of his district directors Coby Little will speak on his behalf. Other races have also been invited to speak and answer questions.
