Wal-Mart adding more food to aisles

DEMOPOLIS-After the months of speculation that Demopolis would be getting a new and improved Wal-Mart Supercenter in the next coming years, the store has now started taking steps to get the customers of Demopolis ready for a new selection of grocery items that would become available once a Supercenter arrives.
If customers walk into the Wal-Mart right now it looks totally different. The potato chips along the front of the food aisle have been moved and replaced with candy. It is almost as if they are consolidating their food department, so they can add new items.
The manager of Wal-Mart in Demopolis John Whitehead said they are in the process of expanding their food section. He also said they will be adding new coolers to the store.
“All of these improvements will offer the customers a larger food selection,” Whitehead said.
He said he didn’t know any of the new products that they will carry in the future because they are still in the preliminary stages of the additions. He also said he should know more about the whole process in the next couple of weeks.
Calls made to the Public Relations Department of Wal-Mart for more information on the future of a Supercenter and the new additions to the food section of the Demopolis Wal-Mart were not immediately responded too.
With this new decision to improve the food section of the Wal-Mart, hopefully that’s a good sign for the future of a Supercenter finding its way to Demopolis in the near future.
