LINDEN-Two new principals were named for Linden Elementary School and George P. Austin Junior High School on Monday, during a special called meeting by the Linden City School Board of Education.

Superintendent of Linden City School System Dr. Walter Davis said Wanda Fisher and Terry Gosa were named as the new principals for Linden Elementary School and George P. Austin Junior High School.

“Both Fisher and Gosa will be officially starting in their roles as principals come July 1,” Davis said, “But since we are getting a late start, they will start on June 21.”

He said the board accepted the resignations of two teachers, one was a math teacher and the other was a counselor/teacher from the Linden School System.

“This leaves us very short for the upcoming season,” Davis said, “We need about six teachers now.”
