Miss Patricia Allen, age 28 of Jefferson, Alabama passed Friday, June 18, 2004 at her residence.

Graveside Funeral Services were held Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Scott Memorial Cemetery, Jefferson, Alabama.

Rev. Edmond Charleston officiated.

Survivors include two children, Kelvin Allen&Tricia Allen of Jefferson, AL; parents, Clark Allen&Susie Allen of Jefferson, AL; six sisters, Mary Richardson, Shirley Richardson, Aretha Allen, Barbara Allen, Georgia (Tim) Allen Grayson&Claudia Allen, all of Jefferson, AL; devoted friends, Larry Smith, Uniontown, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Joe E. Jackson, age 67 of Faunsdale, Alabama passed June 20, 2004 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Larkin&Scott Funeral Home Chapel, Demopolis, Alabama.

Rev. Clifford Coleman will officiate.

Interment will follow in Grayer’s Cemetery, Faunsdale, Alabama.

Survivors include nine children, Joann Jackson, Janice Jackson, Ollie M. Jackson, Lance Jackson, Marilyn Jackson, Paulette Jackson, Joe E. Jackson, Jr. all of Cleveland, OH, Demetrius Jackson and Shirley Jackson-Oates of Demopolis, AL; one sister, Lancie L. Craig (Johnny), Faunsdale, AL; 34 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Susie Mix, of Newbern, Alabama passed June 21, 2004 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama.

Sybil Glass Jowers, of Linden died Monday, June 21, 2004 at Riverchase Health Care Center in Birmingham. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Linden Memorial Park. The Rev. Don Newton will officiate. Mrs. Jowers is survived by two daughters, Martha (Sandy) Addis of Anderson, S.C. and Kathy (Rick) Kopel of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Kenny (Karen) Jowers, Hoover, Ala; two brothers, Leon Glass of Linden, Ala and James Walter Glass of Thomasville, Ala; two sisters, Betty Gunter of Monroeville, and Sarah Langley of Sweet Water; and three grandchildren, Sherri Kopel Hamburg of Moscow, Idaho,

Kate Robinette, Anderson, S.C., and Kasey Jowers of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eldred Jowers. Mrs. Jowers was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Forest Hill Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.

John Robert Flowers, Jr, of Weslaco, Texas died May 24, 2004 after a brief illness. Mr. Flowers was the son of John R. Flowers, Sr and Kathleen Harper Flowers. His was a 1935 graduate of Demopolis High School.

Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Marie Anderson Flowers, a daughter, Sherian Flowers Bernard of Dallas, Texas, three sons,

John R. Flowers III (Ruchie) of Sweeny, Texas, Jud (Margie) Flowers of Edinburg and Jeff (Annie) Flowers of Weslaco, Texas as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The military services were under the direction of the United States Marine Color Guard of Harlington, Texas.
