Carmen Hamilton Allen, 92, Sweet Water, AL, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Willow Trace Nursing Home. Funeral services were Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 1:00PM at the Sweet Water United Methodist Church with the Revs. Joel Jones and Rick Slingluff officiated. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed. Interment followed in the Old Springhill Cemetery, Old Springhill, AL. She is survived by a brother, M.C. Hamilton, Fulton, AL; a sister, Mary Ezell Hester, Lavaca, AL; a sister-in-law, Thelma Hamilton, Birmingham, AL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Boykin “Pete” Allen, and three brothers, W.L. Hamilton, Cecile Hamilton, and Henry Hamilton.
