India Joye Nettles, 56, a native of Greensboro Alabama and resident of Foley, Alabama died at her home on Friday June 4, 2004, She had been a long time resident of Demopolis, AL, having grown up and graduated from Demopolis, Alabama, having graduated from high school here before moving to Foley several years ago.
India Joye Nettles is survived by her husband, Michael Edward Nettles of Foley, AL; a son, Arthur “Jim” Wheatly of Foley, AL; her brother, Thomas Bryant, MD of Washington, DC. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alabama Chapter of the American Liver Foundation, 617 Lorna Square, Birmingham, AL 35216.

Mrs. Vada Marie Smith Glass, 87, Linden, AL died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Marengo County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at the Linden United Methodist Church, Linden, AL. at 10:00 AM with interment to follow in Linden Memorial Park. The Revs. Jim Meadows and Billy Harris will officiate with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing. She was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Judy G. (Larry R.) Etheridge, Linden, AL; a daughter-in-law, Mary E. Holmes Glass, Gallion, AL; two brothers W. Walton Smith, Montgomery, AL and Grover Smith, LeRoy, AL; a sister Louise Boykin, Jackson, AL; and three grandchildren, Katherine Parks Glass, Elliott W. Glass and John Holmes Glass all of Gallion. She was preceded in death by her husband Elliott William Glass, Sr. and her son, Elliott William Glass, Jr. Pallbearers include Elliott William Glass, III, Edward Clingman Boykin, Edward Andrew Boykin, Hassell Chester Bounds, Jr., Christopher Wiley Bounds, William H.
