age 98 of Demopolis, Alabama passed July 2, 2004 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Small Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, Jefferson, Alabama.

Interment will follow in Scott Memorial Cemetery, Jefferson, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Wednesday beginning at 10:30 A.M.

Mrs. Sylvia Scott, age 74 of Forkland, Alabama passed July 3, 2004 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Forkland, Alabama.

Rev. William Branch is the pastor.

Rev. Lynn Finch will officiate.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Forkland, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon.

Family hour will be held Friday night from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Alice Faye Slocum, age 52, of 180 Bert Rosenbush Road, Demopolis died July 6, 2004 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at Aimwell Baptist Church Thursday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Don Smith will preside. Interment will be in Aimwell Cemetary. Visitation will be held July 7, 2004, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Ms. Slocum is preceded in death by her husband, William Mike Slocum, parents Slater and Eleanor Anderson, and brother, Allen Ray Anderson. Survivors include one daughter Brandye Conley of Demopolis, one step-daughter, Hope Duke of Tuscaloosa, one son, Raymond Allen Slocum of Demopolis; three sisters, Janie (Billy Jones) of Myrtlewood;

Nell (Ray) Dunaway, Linden; and Diane (Morris) Montgomery of Demopolis; two brothers, Billy Jack (Elizabeth) Anderson of Perry, Fla., Julian (Adele) Anderson of Myrtlewood and a special friend, Ramone Montesil of Demopolis; two grandchildren, Taylor Conley and Blake Ballard, both of Demopolis and a host of nieces and nephews.

.0Ms. Slocum was a native of Thomasville and a resident of Demopolis for many years. She worked as a nurse at Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis for 27 years and was a member of Rangeline Baptist Church.
