DEMOPOLIS-The River City Soccer Association Board of Directors met on Thursday to discuss the up and coming season and the AYSA Soccer Camp.

The AYSA Soccer Camp will be held at the Demopolis Sports Plex from August 2-6. The cost is $85 for the five-day camp if prepaid and $105 the day of the camp.

The coaching staff will include top current and past collegiate soccer players, former professional soccer players, and collegiate coaches. The coaching staff is experienced in both the men’s and women’s game and all coaches have been trained in age appropriate soccer curriculum.

Scott Spencer, Alabama State Director of Coaching will be overseeing the course and the staff. Each day will begin with an individual ball skills and control warm-up.

Each day the camp will cover different technical skills in a small group instructional phase. The camp will then split into groups and do fun, challenging exercises that develop those skills. Finally, the day will end with scrimmages to allow the players to play the game in its fullest form.
