Staff Report

The following arrests were made by Demopolis Police:

Barbara Macklin, 51, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with parole violation.

Nathan D. Irving, 46, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 24 on an alias warrant.

Tony C. Craige, 32, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 25 and charged with DUI.

Chyloon Spencer, 18, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 26 on an alias arrest.

Willie B. Mack, 51, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with contempt of court/failure to appear.

Jonathan L. Foxhall, 21, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 28 and charged with DUI.

Omar L. Ventura, 26, of Demopolis was arrested on Aug. 28 and charged with DUI.

The following incident/offense reports were recorded:

August 20

The theft of a compressor was reported on Maria Avenue from a public building.

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported to a left front fender in Mauvilla Trailer Park.

August 23

First-degree larceny was reported of an auto beauty material clamps, snatcher pull bar, bond dow hog, air ratchet, 1/4 inch socket set, and a reming tool on Hwy 43 South.

August 24

A rape-strong arm was reported on Arcola Road.

August 25

A rape-strong arm was reported on Herbert Street.

A DUI was reported on Hwy 80 West.

August 26

Harassment was reported on East Pettus Street.

Third-degree larceny was reported on East Decatur Street of a 22-caliber LR revolver.

August 27

A vehicle accident was reported on Walnut Street with damage to a front bumper.

Second-degree larceny was reported around town to campaign signs.

Second-degre criminal mischief was reported on East Decatur Street to a right front window.

August 28

An auto theft was reported of a 1994 Toyota Camry on East Washington Street.

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported of standard light bulbs on West Childers Street.

A DUI was reported on Hwy 80.

Criminal mischief was reported on Floyd Street of a 2001 patrol unit Ford Crown Victoria, on Floyd Street.

Second-degree criminal mischief was reported to a front door on East Washington Street.

August 29

Menacing was reported on North Front Street.

Harassment was reported at Food World.

Third-degree larceny was reported of cash on Bell Grayson Road.

Lost property was reported at the Demopolis Civic Center of a diamond tennis bracelet.

August 30

Theft of an article from an automobile, Sony Explode CD player, was reported on Gaineswood Drive.

A Dolby System AM/FM cassette player was found at the Demopolis Junior High School.

Forgery of checks was reported at Pruitts Grocery.

The theft of a four rods and reels, and ratchet set were reported on East Jackson.

The following arrests were made by the Linden Police Department:

Johnny L. King, 44, of Rt. 1, Thomaston, was arrested on Aug. 17 on a felony DUI warrant.

Sgt. McClure made the arrest.

Neshika T. Kelly, 28, of Gardner Street, Linden, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.

Officer Alston made the arrest.

Larry T. Thomas, 48, of Selma Avenue, Linden, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with failure to appear in court. Officer Alston made the arrest.

Edward Price, 42, of Ford Street, Linden, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with menacing. Officer Alston made the arrest.

Gregory E. Howell, 37, of Coxheath Road, Sweetwater, was arrested on Aug. 19 and charged with failure to appear on a theft of property warrant.

Officer Watters made the arrest.

Richard Reese, 42, of Lucas Street, Linden, was arrested on Aug. 21 and charged with DUI.

Officer Roberts made the arrest.

Cody B. Sheffield, 19, of Mallard Drive,

Dixon Mills, was arrested on Aug. 22 and charged with violation of the noise ordinance.

Officer Watters made the arrest.

The following incident/offense reports were recorded:

Marvin Brown of Ford Street, Linden, reported on Aug. 19 that he had been harassed by someone. Officer Watters took the report.

Tri-Mart on South Main Street in Linden reported on Aug. 20 that they had received a counterfeit $100 bill.

Sgt. McClure is investigating the case.

Mary Lankster of Gardner Street, Linden, reported on Aug.23 that someone had taken a pistol from her home. Officer Alston took the report.
