DMS football undefeated, too

Look’s like the DHS Tigers are not the only undefeated football team in town.

The Demopolis Middle School football team is also undefeated with a 4-0 record heading into last night’s game at home.

According to head coach Chris Tangle, the team is filled with key players leading to the success of this season.

“Oh man, we’ve had a bunch of them [key players].

I have 65 players on the squad,” Tangle said.

“The main backs would be Marcus Jackson on offense and Shontrelle Braxton on offense.

My quarterbacks are Jacob Kirby and Alan Broker.

On defense, I would say [the main key players are] Jeffrey Spears and Brian Taylor.”

As far as the key reason to being undefeated, the reason is the same as the reason for DHS being so good: defense.

“The strongest aspect of our team is definitely defense,” Tangle said.

“Our first team defense has had only six points scored on them.”

Another reason for the team winning is, of course, the fans.

And coach Tangle appreciates it.

“Just keep the fan support coming,” Tangle said.

Come support the DMS Tigers as they, too, aim for a perfect season.
