Graveside services for Mrs. Wanda Gail Swindal Lewis, age 52 of Gallion, AL were held Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Payne’s Chapel Cemetery, Heiberger, AL with Calvin Strickland officiating.

Mrs. Lewis died at her residence on Sunday, October 3, 2004 after an extended illness.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Lewis of Gallion AL, her mother, Verna (Calvin) Riley Swindal Strickland of Selma, AL, one sister, Linda (Charles) Roberts

Swindal of Selma, AL, one brother, Tommy (Lynn) of Selma, AL,

three children, Dena (Alan) Smith of Gallion, AL, Robert (Shelley) Barrett of Clanton, AL, Bucky (Fran) Barrett of Selma, AL, a stepson Adam (Michelle) Lewis of Five Points, AL,

grandchildren,

Beth&Neal Smith, Jordan, Nicole,&Kelsie Barrett, Kacey&Morgan Barrett, Shelby Lewis, and a special Godchild, Anna-Coleman.

Pallbearers were Bobby Smith, Norwood Smith, Sam Roberts, Royce Riley Jr., George Riley, and James Lane.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Alan Swindal and her brother Stanley Swindal.

Frances Stokes Bailey

Greensboro

Frances Stokes Bailey, age 76 of Greensboro, AL passed on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at DCH hospital in Northport, AL.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Smith, Rev. Steve Vernon, and Rev. Steve Beck officiating.

The family received friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Richard L. Bailey Sr. of Greensboro, AL, two daughters, Alison Beck of Panama City, FL, Laurie Bailey of Foley, AL, one son, Rick Bailey of Duncanville, AL, one sister, Mary Esther Fell of Summerdale, AL, a step sister, Carolyn McCray of Greensboro, a brother, Bobby Syring of Pascagoula, MS, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Doone Marsh, Alphus Drake, Charles Thomas, Richard Dale True, John Jay, Jr., and Dr. Obbie Coleman.

Frances Stokes Bailey was born in Greensboro, AL on June 8, 1928.

Her parents were George Emmett and Thelma Chapman Stokes.
