Mrs. Rosie Merriweather-Moorer, 64, of Hempstead, N.Y., a former native of Jefferson, passed Oct. 3, 2004 at Winthrop Medical Center in Mineola, N.Y. Funeral Services will be Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 at noon at Kingdom Hall in Demopolis. Interment will follow in Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson. The remains will repose at Kingdom Hall on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis are entrusted with arrangements. Public viewing will be Friday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Willie Jones-Braxton, 43, of Demopolis, formerly of Forkland, passed Oct. 3, 2004 at Baptist-Montclair Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral Services will be Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 at noon at Birdine A.M.E. Zion Church in Forkland. The Rev. Perry Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow at the adjoining cemetery.
