James Robert Noland passed on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004 at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian, Miss. after an extended illness. Funeral services for Mr. Noland, 62, of 3023 Martin Luther King Drive, Forkland, will be held Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Westside Baptist Church in Demopolis, with Richard Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery in Gordo. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis is in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel, Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 from 6 – 8 p.m. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Mr. Noland was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Thomas Noland and Geneva Rudder Noland. Survivors included his wife, Shirley Noland of Forkland, a daughter, Virginia Clarice Price of Woodstock, five sons, Timothy Dwayne Noland of Tuscaloosa, James Thomas Noland of Huntsville, George Jasper Culp of Stewart, Marion Earl Culp of Cottondale, and Glenn Alvin Wilson Jr., of Forkland, and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Ingram, Chris Price, Jeremy Culp, Roger Price, Gary Phillips, and Kenny Phillips. Mr. Noland was a native of Tuscaloosa and a resident of Forkland for the past 15 years, a member of Westside Baptist Church in Demopolis, and a retired truck driver after more than 18 years of service.
