In Class 1A, Region 4, the Sweet Water Bulldogs and the John Essex Hornets will be battling out a much-needed victory for both teams as the playoffs are quickly approaching.

And tonight in Demopolis, the fun will begin at R. Cook Stadium as the Hornets host the visiting Bulldogs.

Sweet Water enters tonight’s affair after a heart-breaking loss last week to the highly touted American Christian Patriots, 33-28.

Tonight’s regional showdown should be a great match up between two solid teams.

The Hornets come into tonight’s game after blowing out the Akron Rams last week for homecoming, 73-6.

But the Bulldogs seem to have a slight advantage as they can become explosive quickly in both the air and on the ground.

And don’t forget the special teams and the defense of either of these squads.

Minor errors by either team could easily lead to quick points for the opposing team.

Tonight’s “area game of the week” features two teams striving for a high spot in the postseason.

The Bulldogs may be the more talented team, but don’t count out the Hornets.

Especially when John Essex is playing at home.
