After a successful extra point kick by Sweet Water, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead.

With 2:26 remaining in the first half, Sweet Water’s Anthony Landrum rushed up the right end, taking the ball nine yards for the touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

At halftime, the score remained the same.

The Bulldogs tacked on another touchdown to increase their lead with 8:29 left in the third quarter.

Deon Williams connected with Juan Brothers for a 16-yard touchdown pass and Phillipp Scheide kicked in the extra point as Sweet Water increased their lead to 21-0.

With 11:49 remaining in the game, the Hornets finally got on the board when Chris Jones found the endzone.

After failing on the two-point conversion, the score was now 21-6.

John Essex jumped on the scoreboard again with 6:09 left in the game when Keionte Phillips took the ball in 16 yards for another Hornets touchdown.

The two-point conversion failed once again for the Hornets, but the lead was now down to 21-12.

The Bulldogs put the nail in the coffin with 1:36 remaining in the game as Landrum swept right for a 39-yard touchdown run.

After failing on the kick, Sweet Water held onto a 27-12 lead.

And after the Bulldogs got the ball back, a simple kneeling of the ball ended the game as Sweet Water walked away with a 27-12 victory over the Hornets.

With the win, Sweet Water is proving they are one of the best teams in Class 1A, but one has to admire the fight that the Hornets put up in the game.
