Congratulations are in order for Demopolis High School senior Bart Pettus

On Wednesday, Pettus signed with Troy University to play college baseball.

Pettus was named to the first team all state as a pitcher. He had nine wins and three losses along with an ERA of 2.47 and 79 strikeouts. He also led the team with a .423 batting average with four home runs and 46 RBIs.

Bart is the son of Mark and Betty Pettus. He has one sister, Brandy and two brothers, younger brother Ben and older brother Bret who plays shortstop at Jacksonville State.
