Mr. Elidge Rollins, 97, of Greensboro, passed on Nov. 28, 2004 at his residence in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Walls Chapel AME Zion Church in Greensboro, with the Rev. W.C. Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Stand Cemetery in Greensboro. The body will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m., one hour prior to service. Washington&Paige Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements.

Willie Edward Ward

Mr. Willie Edward Ward, 53, of Greensboro, passed on Nov. 29, 2004 in Akron. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at noon at Mt. Olive AME Church, with the Rev. John Kennard officiating.

Burial will follow in Ryans Cemetery in Greensboro. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until noon, one hour prior to service.

Willie Mae Battle

Newbern

Mrs. Willie Mae Battle, 78, of Newbern, passed on Nov. 25, 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at noon at St. Mary AME Church, with the Rev. Paul Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Battle Family Cemetery in Newbern.

Visitations will be Thursday from 5 until 6 p.m. at the Washington&Paige Mortuary Chapel in Greensboro. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until noon, one hour prior to service. Washington&Paige Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements.

Annie Mae Bishop

Annie Mae Bishop, 88, died on Nov. 25, 2004 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Miss.

Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Livingston. The Rev. Tyrone Thomas will officiate and burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with McInnis Mortuary of Livingston entrusted with all arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 from 1 until 6 p.m. at the mortuary and an hour prior to service time at the church.

Johnnie Clark

Johnnie Clark, 92, formerly of Epes died on Nov. 23, 2004 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Miss. Services will he held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at noon at the Jones Creek Baptist Church in Epes.

The Rev. Larry Yates, Sr. will officiate and burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with McInnis Mortuary of Livingston entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 from 1 until 6 p.m. at the mortuary and an hour prior to service time at the church.

Alberta Sanders, 82, died on Nov. 27, 2004 at her residence. Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the New Jones Baptist Church in Emelle. The Rev.
