GREENSBORO – The Demopolis Tigers varsity girls’ basketball team entered Greensboro last night still sitting at No. 2 in the AHSAA 4A polls, and they walked away with another win in a 47-31 victory.

We didn’t play too well offensively tonight, but we took care of things on defense.

But a win is a win, and I’ll take it any way it comes.”

Leading the way for DHS was Shawnese Armstead with 16 points.

Katerria Johnson chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Also making a contribution for the Tigers was Gabrielle Essex and Kelly Johnson with eight points each.

The DHS varsity girls’ basketball team returns to action on Friday night at home against Greene County.

Tip-off is set for approximately 6:30 p.m.
