The daughters of William P. (Buddy) and Mary Stokes Westbrook will host a reception Sunday, Jan. 23, honoring their parents for 50 years of marriage.

Mr. and Mrs. Westbrook were married Jan. 22, 1955 in Meridian, Miss. The couple has lived in Hale and Marengo counties, and currently reside in Demopolis. They have five daughters, Debbie Foxhall of Demopolis, Donna (Mrs. Ronnie) Stokes of Thomaston, Dottie (Mrs. Tommy) Trotter of Providence, Dianne (Mrs. Daryl) Green of Shiloh and Dale (Mrs. Danny) Smith of Demopolis. They have 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Westbrook is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and is a retired mechanic. He also taught at the Marengo Area Vocational Center. Mrs. Westbrook worked for 32 years at Marengo Mills, until its closing.

The reception will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23 at Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden. All family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of gifts, the couple requests your presence only.
