Spring has sprung and the Greensboro Farmers Cooperative will host a special celebration all day today. The coop will host their annual Spring Day designed as a fun event for people all over Greensboro and Hale County.

Throughout the event the Coop will offer 10 percent off their garden and bedding plants including flowers, shrubberies and fruit trees. They will also offer 10 percent off various in store items.

Sherri Montz, office manager for the Coop, said the event should be a lot of fun. One of the biggest draws to the event will be something everyone can appreciate…free food.

“Win-98 will be there,” Montz said. “We will also have free hot dogs, hamburgers and cakes.”

Montz said there would also be a special treat available during the Spring Day celebration.

“Broussard Broilers will be there serving crawfish and crawfish pies,” Montz said. “That should be big because they are really good.”

In addition the Coop will have door prizes that will be given away throughout the day. The store will open at 7 a.m. and the event will kick off at 11 a.m.

The Coop plans to hold the event all day and encourages everyone to come out and participate in what promises to be a fun event.
