DHS softball teams roll

DEMOPOLIS – The Demopolis Lady Tigers varsity softball team picked up a 5-1 win over Dallas County last night at home.

Brittany McGee picked up the win for DHS, pitching a complete game on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Tigers was Dorothy Knapp, who had three hits with one RBI.

Also contributing for DHS was McGee, India Chancelor, and Brittany Thorne with RBI singles each.

The Lady Tigers varsity softball team returns to action tomorrow afternoon in a triple-header.

Game one will pit DHS against Benjamin Russell at 12:30 p.m.

Game two puts Demopolis up against Clay-Chalkville at 2:30 p.m. before the final at 5 p.m. between DHS and Leeds.

DEMOPOLIS – The Demopolis Lady Tigers junior varsity softball team picked up a 7-3 win on Thursday night against the Jackson Aggies.

Sara Davis picked up the win for DHS, pitching a complete game on three hits and seven strikeouts.

Leading the way offensively for the Lady Tigers was Davis, who had a single and two RBI doubles, Blakely Tartt, who had a double, and Lara Tucker, who picked up two hits.
