GREENSBORO-In a very brief city council meeting-10 minutes to be exact-2 agenda items were discussed.

First up for discussion was a restaurant retail liquor license for Magnolia Restaurant, a new establishment owned by Edward P. Whatley. The council postponed the decision for the next meeting.

“It’s a new license,” Lorrie Cook, Greensboro city clerk, said. “We like for the public to know what’s going on before we issue a new license to a new establishment.”

A resolution to approve a grant for recreational trails on 25 North was also passed. The city has selected an engineer for the project after accepting bids over the past few weeks.
