DEMOPOLIS-West Alabama Preparatory School has announced their homecoming court and plans for the upcoming week. The school will celebrate homecoming beginning on Monday Oct. 17 and continuing through their Oct. 21 homecoming game with Dixie.
Kickoff for the game is set for 7:30 p.m. with the traditional homecoming festivities at halftime. During this time the 2005-2006 homecoming queen will be announced.
Immediately following the game will be a lead-out and dance, which will end at midnight.
This year, five senior maids will be in the running for the title of 2005-2006 homecoming queen. Jessica Baker, Allison Elmore, Whitney Martin, Krysta Mitchell and Kim Wilkinson will represent the WAP senior class.
The senior maids will be joined by junior maid Elizabeth Webb, sophomore maid Callie LeCroy, freshman maid Caty Cameron, eighth grade maid Heather Pope and seventh grade maid Jessica Poellintz.
Throughout the week the school has several fun activities to allow students, teachers and faculty to enjoy themselves. Each day will have a theme beginning with Hippie, or 70′ day on Monday. Tuesday will be pajama day and Wednesday will be costume day. Thursday’s camouflage day and Friday’s spirit or blue and red day will round out the in-school festivities.
