Through an ongoing investigation, the Linden Police Department was able to get two drug dealers off the streets late this week.
Thursday night around 11:20 p.m., officers arrested Daniel D. Coleman, 22, and Micaela G. Kirk, 20, both of Mobile at Linden Villas at 2203 E. Coates Ave. Both were living in the apartment at the time of their arrest.
Linden Police Chief Jeff Laduron said they received tips of the sale of illegal drugs and began an investigation.
“We have been working hard on this problem for some time now,” Laduron said. “That hard work paid off when we raided the apartment.”
During the raid, officers confiscated 11.2 grams of marijuana, along with electronic scales used to weigh the drugs when they are packaged to sell.
They also confiscated $854 in cash and a black duffle bag filled with clear containers used to package the drugs for sale.
Laduron said the raid is part of an ongoing effort by his department to get drugs off the streets.
