Battle of the unbeaten

It was billed as a “battle of the heavyweights”, a true slobber-knocker (for the WWE fans reading this) and it sure was one great battle. The game started off as a pitching duel between Tammy Porter of Red Barn versus Keesha Jamison of the Lady Ballers.

They would battle with the hitters for the first three innings, but after that one of them would start to get shelled.

In the top of the fourth inning, Red Barn started picking up the pace with the bats as they pounded out six hits and scored five runs.

Jeannie Tolcolson hit a two run single that started the scoring for Red Barn.

Tabitha Wright would also follow with an run scoring double.

Erin Phillips knocked in Wright with a sacrifice fly to left field and Margie Walker would bring her in with a single.

In the top of the fifth, Red Barn would again capitalize with the bats scoring five more runs and taking a 10-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth.

The Lady Ballers would not go away quietly scoring three runs on four hits in the fifth.

Chelle Stewart and Meiko Besteder both contributed to the scoring in the fifth.

Red Barn scored three more in the sixth inning, thanks to an inside the park homerun from Kayla Hasty. The final score 13-4.
