Mrs. Sarah Carolyn Payne Overstreet

FORKLAND &045; Sarah Carolyn Payne Overstreet, 72, of Forkland, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2006 at Forkland United Methodist Church in Forkland.

Her parents, Learner Holton Payne and Ida Estelle Murphy Payne; her husband, Clayton Milfred Overstreet; several sisters and a brother preceded Mrs. Overstreet in death.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald S. Overstreet of Forkland and Kenny Overstreet and his wife, Tami Jo of Northport; a grandson, Kevin Shane Overstreet of Birmingham and a great-grandson, David A. Overstreet of Georgia; a brother, Buster Payne of Boligee, Ala.; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Owens, Norris Taylor, Ray McCarter, Morris Allen, Don Criswell and Roy Jines.

Mr. James Donald Fleming

DEMOPOLIS &045;

Mr. James Donald Fleming, 71, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Demopolis with Dr. Art Luckie officiating.

Interment will follow in the Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Anne Jones Fleming of Demopolis; one daughter, Rebecca, and husband Keith Blanchard of Lake Mary, Fla.; one son, Rob, and wife Beth Fleming of Demopolis; four grandchildren, Alex Fleming of Demopolis, Alan Blanchard, Nicholas Blanchard and Jenna Blanchard, all of Lake Mary, Fla.

Mr. Fleming was a native of South Carolina and a resident of Demopolis where he had served as a City councilman, on the board of the Demopolis Chamber of Commerce, and the Demopolis Airport Committee. Mr. Fleming was a member of the Demopolis First United Methodist Church, a member of the P.P.M.A. (Professional Photographer’s Association of Alabama and America), he served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1960, and he was the owner of Fleming Photography in Demopolis.

Pallbearers will be David Jones, Mike Jones, Arthur Lee Hitt, Van Kelley, Kenny Freeman, Pierce Boyd, Matt Harrison and Vince Brown.

The family of Mr. Fleming will accept flowers or donations to the charity of your choice.

Carol Geneva Cooke Bailey

FORKLAND &045; Carol Geneva Cooke Bailey, 53, of Forkland, died Friday, November 17, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Siloam Baptist Church with burial in the Marion Cemetery. The Revs. Rex Kent and Dr. Mark Tew officiated.

Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel were in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by her mother, Maurine Cooke of Marion; two sons, Martin Bailey of Forkland and Julib &8220;Bo&8221; Serra of Louisville, Kent.; two sisters, Dr. Judy Travis of Demopolis and Lacretia Edwards of Marion; two brothers, John Cooke of Memphis and Will Cooke of Mystic, Ct.; two grandchildren, twins Charity and Gene Bailey.
