Ernest Frank Harper

UNIONTOWN &045; Ernest Frank Harper, 76, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church on Hwy. 14 in Perry County with the Rev. Arthur G. Thomas officiating and burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors of Demopolis in charge of arrangements.

Harper was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin F. Harper and Neva Wells Harper.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy David Harper of Uniontown; two daughters, Geraldine Harper of Uniontown, Rita Harper Spires of Prattville; two sons, Ben Harper, Dan T. Harper, both of Greensboro; three sisters, Rebecca Leonard of Demopolis, Eloise Wilkerson of Demopolis, Carol Joyce Long of Fairhope; two brothers, James R. Harper of Mobile, Benjamin F. Harper Sneeds Ferry, N. C.; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Harper was a native of Greensboro, a retired welder and steel worker, and a resident of Uniontown for 56 years and was of the Methodist faith. Harper served in the United States Army for six and a half years and was a Veteran of the Korean War where he received the Korean Service Medal with a Bronze Star, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Long, Gene Wilkerson, Morris Jordon, Jeff Kierce, Cody Key, and David Orem.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff of Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital of Demopolis.

Aslean James

DEMOPOLIS &045; Funeral Services for Aslean James of Demopolis will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev. Sid Rowser Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home chapel.

Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of the arrangements.
