It just happens to be the time of the year where if you know your team is already in the playoffs, the next game becomes an opportunity to work on some areas that need improvement.

The Demopolis Tigers happen to be in that position. They know they&8217;ll play Greenville in the first round, so Friday&8217;s game prepares them for next week. But the Tigers still refuse to count out rival Greene County.

Last week they knocked off Brookwood, 37-0, to secure third seed in their region. The Tigers played their best all round game of the season.

Look for Demopolis to attempt to put the ball in the air as they did in their last game. Quarterback Jacob Kerby put the ball in the air 14 times against Brookwood. According to Goodwin, the passing will depend on the running game and what Greene County will give the Tiger receiving corps.

Greene County comes to town for the final game of the regular season. They were an area rival the last four years. Demopolis won all four games, averaging 52-points-a-game in the four years and giving up an average of only five-points-a-game.

This is one of those bragging rights kind of a game for both the players as well as the fans of both teams.

Greene County comes into Friday&8217;s game with two straight wins. They have run up a total of 105 points in those two games. Their overall record stands at 3-6. Their record is not indicative of the way they have played this year. Goodwin says they are an improved team.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
